Partner transparency

This site carries commercial links in two places and nowhere else. This page says which, and what they do not affect.

Where money can appear

Field reports. A dated write-up filed under a guide may carry a partner link to the operator whose session or course is being described. Where it does, the link is labelled as a partner link and the page prints a note saying a booking through it earns a commission.

Space profiles. A profile may carry one availability link to the operator's own booking page. It is labelled, and it sits apart from the editorial text rather than inside it.

Where money never appears

Town pages, guides and essays carry no affiliate links and no sponsored placements. No space can pay to be covered, to be covered more warmly, or to be covered sooner. There are no paid placements, no featured listings and no rankings anywhere on the site, and no prices either — the order of anything here is geography, then the alphabet, then the date.

What a commission does not buy

  • It does not decide what gets covered. A space is covered because it exists.
  • It does not soften what is written. Where a space suits some people and not others, the profile says both, in the same number of words.
  • It does not survive a closure. When a space stops trading, its page is marked closed and kept — the link goes, the record stays.

If something here is wrong

Timetables move, fibre arrives, management changes, and every page on this site carries the month it was last looked at for exactly that reason. If a figure has gone stale or a description no longer matches the place, write to hello@colivingalgarve.com and it gets corrected — including when the correction is unflattering to somebody we link to.
